Spring 2017 Shoot

Hello! Oh my goodness I haven't posted since September 2016, sorry about that. We have been mega busy in the Lennie & Co world which is why I get to write to you this evening as tomorrow we launch our brand new Spring 17 collection.

It's been a little while in the making and I cannot believe I finally get to share it with you. We now add to our collection not only t-shirts but leggings, sweat pants and sweatshirts in our super fresh Geo print and a handful of brand new slogans.

Our photoshoot was on Slapton Sands beach the day after storm Doris. To be honest I expected things to be a little drizzly and very windy but we had blue skies, sunshine and even a Humpback Whale visiting the bay that day! We are so very lucky to live in beautiful Devon and have locations as such right on our doorstep, I do have to pinch myself some mornings to wake and see the sunrise over the sea. It is the very place I draw inspiration from and the colours chosen for the new range.

I hope you love it as much as we do. Big Love,

Amy & Lenn x

Did some one say PARTAY?

So.. I hosted Lenn's first, proper children's party last weekend. Up until now Lennie's parties have mainly consisted of my friends and family standing around and chatting preferably over a BBQ with a cold beverage in hand whilst Lenn and a couple other kids happily play.

Not this year! He's 4 this time, he knows his friends well, they like to impress one another now wether it be with a dinosaur or a new sword. SO before they all went off to school I thought it was time to have a real kids party.

Firstly, I would need help... Que my mum & The Party Wiz  I can decorate a cake, make things look pretty but entertain 14 too cool for school 3 year olds? Negative. The girls at The Party Wiz were fab, they gave me enough time to burn the pizzas and undercook the chips whilst the kids were entertained.

The kids enjoyed beating a Pinata, playing musical statues (the boys only danced for prizes), a good old game of pass the parcel and nearly collapsed the bouncy castle. Then we all ate far too much of the cake with jelly of course! I made a Meringue Girls rainbow layer cake that I had adapted to be Dino colours... Obvs (they probably think this is the worse adaptation of it on the planet) but the mums were impressed!

Then after 2 hours we sent the kids home absolutely shattered and full of sugar. That's right isn't it? It was fun, I do think I was more tired than Lenn by the end but we did it!

The Junior Design Awards 2016

Hello Hello!

Sorry it's been a while. Things have been very hectic around here. In the time we haven't caught up we came Silver in the Junior Design Awards Best Emerging Brand category. It was announced the day before I turned 30 so we celebrated with lots of bubbles (squash for Lenn of course)

So so proud of what we have achieved. 'We' being my little family!

We were in a category amongst some fabulous brands including Nor-Folk and the winning Outside The Lines. Its amazing to think that we were including in awards that include Marks & Spencer and Little Bird by Jools Oliver.

It's a huge achievement for little old us. So thank you for all of your support over the last 18 months. You guys make us!

New Website // Lets Talk About Flex

Welcome to our new and improved Lennie & Co website. I hope you love it! I'd say it's been a while in the making but it hasn't as I am the most impatient person ever, it's taken me about 2 weeks of juggling my work/mum life to design and launch it.

Talking of juggling.. it brings me on to the brand new campaign that the one and only Mother Pukka has launched called #flexappeal to raise awareness of mothers attempting, or working flexible hours within a corporate company. Whilst I work in a small company that are flexible with appointments etc I understand how hard it is going back to work after having a kid. I waited so long before telling my previous company I was pregnant just to ensure I got the pay rise I was promised, think I would have got it if I was preggers in a male led office... I think not.

Anyway, my #flexappeal is pretty poor as I work full time and run my secret dream business from home at night once the babe is in bed. Yep.. My bosses don't know, again in fear I'd get the chop for fulfilling the dream double from 7:30-10:30pm

Just hashtag #flexappeal over on Instagram along with your story as to continue the discussion.

Whether you are a Mum or Dad I look forward to hearing your stories

Amy xx
